MPEG Streamclip is awesome! I love it and use it religiously. Definitely a must have along with Handbrake.

After I posted this last response, I could hear Phil's voice whispering in my head. So I went over to HSBJ and posted explicit directions (to the best of my knowledge) on using this fantastic freebie application that everyone should keep in their arsenal. I posted it in the forums under "General Software" here:

Download this program: MPEG Streamclip here (it's free and there's a Mac or PC version):
http://www.squared5.com/

This program will rip files from a dvd and convert them into an editable format (as well as all kinds of other conversions). Let me know if you want explicit directions for using it...it's actually pretty painless and simple. We use it all the time.

Subject: [STN-Affiliates] iDVD Question

If I have a project created on iDVD (created somewhere else - on a different
computer) can I import the DVD clips to FCP? In other words, the files
aren't on the computer just the iDVD project. Can I get to the files on the
DVD into a Final Cut project. I'm having trouble wording this question
right, but I hope you can understand.
